Miami can be really fucking cool sometimes & most of those times its thanks to Prism Creative Group. I finally made it out to The Listening Den on Thursday night & it did not disappoint. The artists were incredible, the venue was like nothing I’d ever seen, and the crowd was surprisingly vibey.
If you’ve never heard of The Listening Den, get familiar. It’s an amazing free sit-down concert series that lets singer-songwriters shine in a crazy cool venue. The rules are simple – shut up & listen.
Although a tough ask for a city known for being loud, most of us who were there for the music really appreciated it. The Listening Den brings incredible local talent and even not-so-local acts to play for us for free, so the least we can do is put our phones down, live in the moment and soak in the tunes.
Last night I got to see LA-based Emeryld perform & I’m so glad I did because honestly, #newfave. Her voice was so sultry & her style is #goals. I literally started downloading her music the minute I got home.
Outside, there was another stage set up where Lemon City Trio played for a bit & the closing act was Yoli Mayor, someone I’ve been dyinggg to see in person, but I missed her once again. It’s okay cause she’s always performing around town so fingers crossed, I’ll see her soon.
The next event will be on October 11 so stay tuned for more deets!
